Extract URLs From Text Online and Clean a List of Links
Pull every web link out of a crowded paragraph before you audit it. Use Extract URLs to create a clean, one-link-per-line list.
Use the Extract URLsWhy a clean URL list is useful
Research notes and copied articles often mix links with quotations, annotations, and punctuation. Extracting the URLs first makes it easier to check destinations, remove duplicates, or hand the list to a teammate.
A dedicated list also helps you notice broken formatting, unexpected domains, and links that need a clearer label in the final document.
Audit links in a sensible order
Start by grouping links by purpose: sources, references, product pages, or internal pages. Then verify the important destinations and remove links that no longer support the work.
Do not assume a familiar-looking URL is trustworthy. When a link requests credentials, downloads, or sensitive information, verify the domain independently.
Prepare the final list
After extracting links, remove duplicate lines or extract domains if you need a compact source list. Keep full URLs when the exact page matters and domains when you only need to identify the site.
