Split Comma Separated Text Into Lines Online for Lists and Imports
Turn a crowded comma-separated list into one item per line before you edit or import it. Paste the text into Split Text and choose the separator you need.
Use the Split TextOne item per line is easier to review
A long comma-separated value is difficult to scan for repeats, errors, and missing entries. Splitting it into lines creates a simple checklist that can be sorted, cleaned, or compared.
This is useful for tags, names, keywords, product codes, short URLs, and other simple lists.
Choose the right separator
Comma is common, but copied data may use semicolons, pipes, tabs, or a repeated phrase. Check a few entries before processing the full list so the chosen separator does not split inside a meaningful value.
For CSV data with quoted fields, use a spreadsheet or CSV-aware parser instead. A simple text splitter cannot interpret every quoting rule in a complex export.
Prepare for the next step
Once each item has its own line, remove duplicates, sort the list, or add a shared prefix or suffix. Finishing with a quick review helps catch empty entries and unexpected fragments.
